Busy, Stressed, and Food Obsessed!  Calm Down, Ditch Your Inner-Critic Bitch, and Finally Figure Out What Your Body Needs to Thrive

You don’t have to be an entrepreneur or business person to feel the negative effects on your body and your mind; from the relentless pace we live our lives today.

Burnout is such a topical subject. If not checked it can debilitate you. Even though we know this, for some reason we are afraid to stop or even slow down.

If you can relate to this, you will love today’s guest.

She is health and lifestyle coach, the founder of Healthy, Happy, and Hip, an award-winning author, and the host of Busy, Stressed, and Food Obsessed Radio on VoiceAmerica.com. (Named after her book). Using the skills she developed as a successful technology entrepreneur, Lisa self-hacked her own mind and body to restore her health. She went on to feel better than ever.

She uses private coaching, online courses, workshops, and retreats, Lisa helps highly successful hungry go-getters to slow down, chill-out, develop a better relationship with food and stress, look good and feel great.

It is my real pleasure to introduce the vibrant and vivacious Lisa Lewtan.

How to Build a High Performing 6 or 7 Figure Business w Marianne Page – The McFreedom System™

My guest today works with ambitious 6 and 7 figure business owners who are victims of their own, often rapid success, and who are unable to extricate themselves from working in their business, in order to work ON it. Her book Process to Profit is widely regarded as more informative than The E-Myth Revisited

Marianne Page has 27 years of senior management experience with McDonald’s. Over an 8 year period she worked closely with more than 14,000 managers and franchisees to develop their management and leadership skills and through her focus on continuous improvement and system development, saved the business over £1m in her final year.

She has a reputation for being inspiring and fun-loving, and for taking an area of business that most business owners are terrified of, or resentful of at best, and turning it into something which is easy, enjoyable, and actually gets done.

If you want to start deliberately working on your business instead of being stuck in it, Marianne has some actionable strategies for you.

You will also hear

  • Despite being able to spot and create millions for businesses, even she has one blind spot.
  • Her time as a pivotal member of McDonald’s management team, why she stayed for 27 years, and what made her finally leave
  • The lowdown of McDonald’s hierarchy.
  • How people development is the key to stable staff retention.
  • How the belief that McDonald’s staff are transient is false.
  • The drivers behind replacing yourself in your business
  • How she had to sell processes without selling processes
  • The dangers of growing first and then systemising
  • Some simple steps to start, creating basic systems in your business
  • How recording tools create freedom in your business
  • Why even one-man bands should start systemising
  • How service businesses can improve even if they subcontract or outsource
  • Introducing systems to staff & team members & the importance of Why over How.
  • What it means to create a Checking In versus a Checking Up team culture
  • The pitfalls of avoiding people management if you are trying to grow
  • Keeping up with change in a process driven business
  • The one task everyone should do to move their business towards their ideal future.
  • The link between systems and being able to franchise

And much more

Today I am going to talk about the recent furor regarding star of tv show Grey’s Anatomy & human rights activist Jesse Williams alleged cheating rumours and divorce proceedings.

This threw up two issues:

Black v white relationships

Man v women in relationships

The first point is a distraction. The impact of the second is what I am going to focus on in this episode.

Apart from the pop culture interest value, this is just another reminder of what being a woman is, or needs to be, because we cannot always anticipate being let down.

I talk about why I think we should give Jesse a pass; (kind of).

Plus why these stories are wake up calls, maybe even blessings in disguise.

Let me know your thoughts.

Not for you if you are a prude…

If you are having a rough day or week; then I defy you not to be in a better mood after listening to this episode.

While there is no swearing (my guest is an anti-profanity guy) he is naughty as hell.  This episode is defo not for listening with the children. J

David Ralph is a podcasting & freedom entrepreneur success story. He makes a good income, he has lots of free time and he only does what he considers fun. To create his lifestyle was not straightforward; but a series of ups and downs that would have scared many people into giving up the dream of working for themselves.

David openly shares what he did and why, in his own irreverent style. Can you believe he even accuses me of being techy/touchy at one point? How dare he?!

While I started a seasonal podcast, David started all out with a daily show, and crushed it.

We also felt we had to give a special mention to the man who not only brought us together but reached out from across the pond to encourage and guide us when we knew nothing.

The inimitable Michael O’Neal.

If you want to laugh and be inspired at the same time then this is a must listen

Why a Man Doesn’t Want a Perfect Woman

May 10, 2017 by Georgette Rowland Osborne

He Doesn’t REALLY Want the Perfect Woman. He Wants These 3 Things from You Instead…

As a woman who is inherently a carer, it is easy for me to fall into this trap. I learned the hard way that if you try to hard you put men off. Yes being financially independent goes some way to reduce the likelihood of being a people pleasing doormat. But being this way is a pattern that money alone cannot break. Read this advice from a man who knows the secret to reclaiming yourself.

How much time do you spend trying to be the kind of woman you think men want?
If you’re like most women, it’s a LOT. You spend all this time making yourself look sexy and attractive.
All this time presenting yourself as fun, interesting, worldly, and not needy in the slightest. You spend all this time showing him just how good you’d be for him… How amazing his future would be if he chose you as the woman by his side…
And it doesn’t work. It never works. WHY? Why do you work so hard… And the guy in your life just takes you for granted, if he even notices you at all? It’s probably because he’s immature, right? He can’t recognize a good thing until it’s gone. Or maybe… It’s because you’ve been doing all the work for him.

If He Doesn’t Work for Your Relationship, He Won’t Value It

Fact:

What men value most are those things they have to work hard to get.
Hand a man a college diploma, and he won’t value it as much as if he’d had to put in years of study and effort to earn it.
Hand a man the perfect girlfriend, and he won’t value her as much as if he’d had to woo her for weeks just to get her to go out with him. This is why playing hard to get works.
But, as you’ve probably already noticed…
There’s a BIG problem with playing hard to get. That strategy stops working once he’s actually got you.
Something happens when guys decide they’ve won you. It’s almost like they think, “Game over.” Their minds are already on their next challenge. What is going on?!
And how can you stop it from wrecking your relationship?

It’s Not Just You—ALL Women Experience This (That’s Why They Ask for Help)

Many women give up on love. They never let themselves get too close to a man, for fear of scaring him off. But other women try a different approach. They get help. Relationship coach James Bauer is one of the people they turn to.
He noticed that many clients were coming to him, complaining about guys who were blowing hot and cold. Everything would be going great, and then it was like…
Something would change overnight.
A guy who’d been warm, affectionate and interested would suddenly become distant. He’d no longer have any time for her. He wouldn’t smile in greeting. He’d stop making eye contact. His kisses were brusque. Wanting to help his clients, James investigated.
And what he discovered made sense of everything. He knew why these men were backing away. He knew what they needed … and what they weren’t getting.
It didn’t come down to anything wrong with these women.
Rather, it all came down to something he called “The Hero Instinct.”

Most Women Do Something that Drives Men Away…Without Ever Realizing It

One of the most wonderful things about women is how naturally caring they are.
Look at you. You’re always there for your guy. You look after him. You always make time for him. You’d do anything for him.
You never realize that, in the process…
You’re actually taking something away from him. You’re taking away his purpose.
You see, he wants to be your hero. He doesn’t want you to be his hero.
Men love heroes. Look at how many grown men are still fascinated by Marvel comics and superhero movies.
Every man on Earth, from the time he was a boy, dreamed of growing up to be the kind of hero who would save the world—and get the girl at the same time.
Most men don’t get to indulge their world-saving side in their 9-5 jobs.
Circumstances don’t call for them to rip off their corporate ties and spring into action, revealing their superman side. Maybe they can’t save the world. But they can still get the girl.
Getting the girl is a worthy challenge for an ordinary guy with the heart of a superhero. It takes superhuman confidence. Superhuman charm. Superhuman immunity to pain. Now, all he needs to find is…
A girl who needs a hero. Do You Need a Hero? Let me guess… That’s not you.
You’re strong. You’re independent. You can fix a leaky faucet. You can drive a stick shift. You can take care of yourself. You’re never going to make that Jerry Maguire mistake of looking for a man to complete you.
Instead, you have a lot to offer a man. You’re generous. Kind. Loving. Giving to a fault. All you want is to find a man who’s willing to receive all you have to give.
And that’s why heroes aren’t showing up in your life. That’s why you’ve ended up with so many takers instead. Guys who take everything you have and leave you high and dry. If you want a hero, then you need to advertise for one. Here’s how.

3 Ways You Can Invite a Hero into Your Life, Starting Today

1. Ask a guy for help.
Ask him for advice on buying a new computer. Ask him to listen to that weird rattling sound that’s started up in your car. Ask him to reach something on the top shelf. Then thank him warmly, with a great big smile of appreciation. No, that doesn’t make you needy. It makes you a woman with space for a man in her life.
2. Take pleasure in male company.
Guys love women who appreciate men for just being men. So what if his apartment is a shrine to sports? So what if he spends hours on his fantasy football team? So what if his idea of a clean shirt is the one with the fewest wrinkles? He’s a guy. It’s okay. You don’t need him to be more like you, because you’ve got the feminine side of the gender equation covered.
3. Let him earn your respect.
Superheroes love challenges. They don’t want to be given a gold medal just for showing up. They don’t want your love handed to them on a plate. They want to earn it. There’s one thing they crave even more than a woman’s eternal enduring love: A challenge. So give him opportunities to prove himself. You don’t have to do the work of winning him over. Sit back, relax, and allow him the pleasure of winning your admiration.

Breakthrough your money blocks

Confronting your money issues is rarely about money itself. It is about the thoughts and feelings you carry around inside you in relation to money.

You say you want to make money or achieve financial success, but deep inside you don’t truly believe it will happen for you. Such a belief can be so hidden you are not aware of it. But your thoughts are being guided by these beliefs nonetheless.

You feel demotivated, overwhelmed, envious, afraid, resentful.

You allow perfectionism, procrastination and self doubt to distract you from what you need to do to make progress. Which results in you taking action, working around the clock, yet failing to follow through on so many things that you promised you would complete.

You struggle to make enough money. Or you make enough, but struggle to hold onto or manage money well.

Do you think about all the money you have made over the years and you are horrified with how little you have to show for it.

Today, my goal is to help you climb down from the financial roller coaster and begin your journey of travelling along a smoother road that will lead you to where you want to go.

[spp-tweet “Clear a Path to Financial Abundance, Release Money Blocks & Money Shame”]

So Spice Girl Mel B Claims Abuse… Why Do Strong Women Take Crap from Weak Men?

April 7, 2017 by Georgette Rowland Osborne

Spice Girl Mel B takes out restraining order against estranged husband Stephen Belafonte after accusing him of abuse, screams Daily Telegraph headline.

I know to many she may look as though she could break you in half with a sentence, and this news will be a great surprise. But these situations are more prevalent than we think.

Only Mel and her ex know the real truth, but assuming there is truth to her allegations, what is the chink in a woman’s armour that leaves her vulnerable to a man who is effectively punching above his weight?

Pardon the pun, it was not intentional.

And to clarify, I am not specifically referring to domestic abuse. But the more subtle type, manipulation.

Many years ago I was with a friend, driving to a social event. I forget the conversation, but what I do remember was one sentence she said.

“When it comes to business and work, you take no prisoners, but in your private life, sorry to say hun, you are such a fool”

It is not what she said that hurt, but that it was true.

She was saying out loud, what I said to myself on a daily basis.

Even then, the person I was with had to mess up on a grand scale, and not just once either.  I finally saw the light and realised I was being emotionally abused. And for what, by somebody who could offer me nothing more than I could do or get for myself.

Mel is not the alone. Mary J Blige reports how she lost her self-esteem and sense of identity in her marriage. Seriously!! After her track “No More Drama”

Who could forget the photos of Rihanna after Chris Brown’s fists took on a life of their own.

Pamela Anderson, Roseanne Barr, Shakira, Halle Berry, Charlize Theron. Even the formidable Hillary Clinton took crap. A woman who was almost the leader of the western world!! Though I confess I might forgive Bill Clinton anything myself. Lol.

These women are different to the Ike and Tina Turner type scenario. Ike was a Svengali figure to Tina. She was young and inexperienced, and Ike opened the door to her success. From the get go she already looked up to him.

The ladies above, had carved out careers and found success in their right. On their own terms. But were helpless behind closed doors.

My heroines; the good news is that with intelligent, achieving women, this is not the end of the story.

Charlize came through, Mel will come through it, Mary will come through it. I came through it.

Of course we can look at the psyche and emotional makeup, and how to develop that side so you are less vulnerable. But even before that, you can get practical.

Be financially independent.

Mary J and Mel B may be crying right now, but they are not worried about the gas bill or whether they are going to have to take the little one out of school because they may have to move.

You do not have to be a celebrity to position yourself. And you don’t have to earn ridiculous amounts of money, you just have to control the flow. Everyone should have a “screw you fund”. Men and women.

The rise of the broke entrepreneur Part Six. Who thought having a routine could be a game changer in your finances?

Ok my friend, I saved the most important one for last.

More important than Financial Information? – Yes!

More important than Financial Motivation?  – Yes!

More than Financial Intelligence, Systems and even Experts – Yes! Yes! And Yes!

The weakening of willpower and enthusiasm is the single biggest barrier to maintaining any plan, no matter how important, or how simple it is to do.

Routines are where it’s at. Allow me to elaborate.

Greta’s Thighs

Greta is going to a sixties-themed party where the dress code for girls is mini skirts. She is self-conscious about her legs. She thinks they are chunky and wants to tone them up before the event. Especially as there will be a guy there that she would like to get to know better.

After doing some research she comes across a famous programme that recommends doing 40 squats every day, 5 days a week.

If she does that for six weeks she can expect to lose between 2 and 4 inches off her thighs.

Greta decides she can do that. She unearths her trainers from the bottom of the wardrobe and resolves to do that every day.

Sounds simple enough doesn’t it. So why did it go so wrong? The same reason money disappears right under your nose.

Getting the help of money or financial experts

The same person, who has personal money pressures or financial stress, can find they don’t have this problem with their business finances.

This is because they will have a financial posse to turn to. Listen to what makes a great financial posse.

Even if you listened to or watched each part of the MIISER rules up until now, and implemented what you learned like a pro. I bet there are still huge gaps in your knowledge.

Now that you understand pensions, or ISAs, the different types of mortgages. Do you know where the best deals are? Yes to some degree you may do.

There are comparisons sites that do a lot of the trawling for you.

But not all financial decisions or products can be reduced to compare, click, checkout.

With the groundwork that you have done with regards to the first four parts of MIISER. (Go back and listen to the previous episodes – links are below)

To recap:

Motivation           Information              Intelligence              Systems

This means, when choosing and communicating with a financial expert/ advisor or coach or consultant, won’t be just a naïve person asking for advice. You will however be:

  • Armed with enough information to help you hold your own in a conversation,
  • Understand what you are being told
  • And be better informed to decide if the expertise you are getting fits in with your plans

“Dear Georgette, further to the work you carried out for one of my clients; I am writing to express my gratitude. The client was the first to admit that since incorporation the bookkeeping had been close to non-existent.

Compliance was causing him anxiety as the industry his company trades in is tightly regulated.

I received a call in which he expressed how relaxed he felt now that he was in good hands. I will not hesitate to refer you to family, friends and colleagues, as well as passing future clients to Precision/Financial Gym.”
